Project Brief

Branding Project

I am extremely intrigued in mobility aid devices, and I feel the Yakima's car and bike racks are sturdy yet lightweight, and customizable in a way that a medical device could easily imitate.

Yakima’s branding guidelines were beneficial in creating a simple, user-centered design. I chose Yakima because the company cares about the user’s experience based on their

product interaction.

Researching the Yakima Brand Identity was important for this project.

A Day in the Life

Finding Challenges Associated with Crutches

A friend and I tried to complete various tasks while using crutches to develop a sense of empathy for the user. This experience provided key insights to re-design elements of the crutch; stability, comfort, and customization.
